I'm the founder of the multiplatinum recording group 98 Degrees and am now a solo recording artist. Throughout my 14 year tenure in the entertainment industry, I've been fortunate to become involved with numerous charitable foundations and organizations ranging from the Elizabeth Glazier Pediatric AIDS Foundation, St. Jude Children's Hospital, to Toys for Tots and various others. After I was made aware of The Street Teens organization, I fell in love with the concept. I feel strongly about donating my time or efforts to such a great cause. In the past, I've been a motivational speaker for young people in colleges and high schools across the nation. I would love to make a difference in any way I can, whether it be through speaking to the kids or donating my time. I was introduced to Street Teens by a dear friend of mine, Mr. Angelo Giordano who has an extraordinary story of his own. The fact that Angelo overcame the obstacles and adverse situations in his younger years to become such an amazing human being and success story is quite inspiring to me. I was raised in the Midwest and brought up with strong family values. Although I was blessed a wonderful upbringing, I faced long odds of my own when choosing a career in the entertainment business. Being from a very small town, I was told that my dream of selling albums and touring the world was impossibility. By possessing an enormous amount of self-confidence, faith in a higher power and total belief in myself, I was able to realize the one and a million dream. Because of this, I have a strong conviction that anyone can and accomplish anything. Sometimes people need to be reminded of this - especially young people. In closing, I would like to extend my time and efforts to those involved with Street Teens and make myself available for whatever is needed. If I can make a difference or inspire even one person, it will be well worth it. After all, that's what life is all about. Thank you for your time! Warmest regards, Jeff Timmons
